How did Heath Ledger die?

I was very shocked to find out about his death a few months back. And since then my family and I have tired to find out how. We know it was from an overdose,but what we don't know is, was it intentional? or accidental? And what kind of pills were they? If anyone knows the whole story, we would appreciate it!
